Face Static Adversarial Windbreaker

Face Static has a lot of faces. None of them seem particularly interested in behaving.

This lightweight windbreaker takes the visual logic of adversarial fashion and turns it into a riot of fragmented eyes, mouths, silhouettes, checkerboards, electric color and collage-style graphic noise. Faces appear, disappear and collide with one another until deciding exactly what you're looking at becomes part of the entertainment.

The artwork is built around the idea behind adversarial clothing: using dense, unexpected visual information to complicate the way machine vision interprets an image, then turning that concept into something humans might actually want hanging in their closet.

Instead of dressing like technology isn't watching, Face Static gives it more visual information than it asked for.

The result sits somewhere between contemporary streetwear, analog collage, pop art and wearable visual glitch. Hot pink, acid green, cobalt blue, orange, black and cream crash across an all-over pattern packed with distorted faces and graphic interruptions. From across the street, it is loud. Up close, it gets considerably weirder.

Made from 100% polyester in a lightweight 4.8 oz/yd² (165 g/m²) fabric, it works as an easy outer layer without adding unnecessary bulk. A full front zipper closure with black nylon zipper tape and plastic teeth cuts cleanly through the artwork, while elastic cuffs keep the silhouette comfortable and easy to style.

The unisex design works over tees, sweatshirts, hoodies and whatever else your operating system currently permits.
